"Smartphone health care is becoming a big business, with the global venture capital community pumping almost $300 million into the sector in Q1 2015, and the likes of Apple, Google, Microsoft, and the FDA all helping to facilitate its rapid rise.":

The introductory Australian example by MD Ash Collins can be skipped if you want an overall view of how health care is expected to increasingly be done via smart phones.

"The prediction is that by 2020, only 20 percent of medical interaction will be done in the virtual space, but with the speed of the internet and technological development, I think more than half of interaction would happen online by 2020. I expect over half of those to happen via smartphones," he (Ash Collins) said.

That's only four years away!
