Telomere-lengthening procedure turns clock back years in human cells

We've previously had several posts on the influence of telomeres on the progression of CLL, with shorter telomeres an undesirable marker. Scientists have now developed methods for lengthening telomeres, so perhaps this may eventually be another non-chemo treatment for CLL? Initial trials have been on skin cells, but scientists are extending their trials to other cell types:
