After a CLL cure, how do we restore our immune system?

As we are well aware, CLL is a cancer of the immune system. Current treatments don't provide a permanent cure and often worsen immune suppression, which is why nearly all of us are put on 'Watch and Wait' when we are diagnosed, much to our surprise, rather than starting immediate treatment. So I'm considerably encouraged to see researchers are beginning to look at what needs to be done to restore our immune system after our CLL is cured. These two papers summarise the recent developments in the immunotherapeutic field:

ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/222...

ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/250...

Note the common authorship in the two abstracts, including Professor John Gribben from UCSD and a member of the CLL Research Consortium.
