I am nearly 6 months after FCR. My WBC and ALC are just below specification.

Would a FISH test (it's on my blood form) be accurate considering the low number of leukemic cells or lymphocytes?

Unlikely would be accurate, FISH on the BMB would be better. Why do you want one? At the moment an MRD would be a more meaningful test, perhaps. It can be done on the blood after a period of 3 months after rituxan treatment.

Here are test parameters used in the Mayo Clinic labs...

I was trisomy 12 before treatment and I thought a FISH test after treatment would pick up any changes caused by treatment.

It might show 17p deletion, but it won't show NOTCH1, which for T-12 may be of more concern.

Please don't worry about this stuff, enjoy your life... it is out of your hands.

That's good advice from cllcanada. I'm 3 months post fcr. Feel great, glands down, specialist happy, just marrow extract to go and its head down and on with life.

Hi After chemo my immune levels have never returned to normal nor have my platettes. Wait and see because it can take time but only blood tests will tell you what is going on. Try talking to your Dr but they will probably only say wait. Best wishes
