The one medical App to have if stranded on a deserted island

"As a very full-featured free app, Medscape is worth a download. If you have space on your device, I strongly recommend you download the full database so you're prepared in any eventuality."

Available for Android and iOS

Has anyone tried this? I don't have a smart phone.

As the article says:

"Remember, Medscape is no substitute for seeing your doctor. If you're hurt or ill, go to your doctor!

I'm sure Mark Twain's classic line about medical references applies to modern technology too:

"Be careful about reading health books. You may die of a misprint."

PS I decided I needed a new camera after the cygnets showed their disdain for my old one...

Nice photo. I see what you mean re the cygnets' disdain!!!! Do Australian black swans have white cygnets? In the UK, we have white swans with grey cygnets.

Well it's a dirty white as you can see. The other parent was not far away and was watching over a further 3 cygnets. I can certainly understand the premise for the 'Ugly Duckling story'. Seems their necks grow significantly too as they mature. The adults can get quite 'in your face' if you get too close!

I have about 200 medical APPs on my iPad.

The ones that are most useful are...

Lab Test Online

Blood Journal

The Lancet

ARUP consult

Journal of Clinical Oncology

Mayo Patient

Mayo Labs

About Herbs, Sloan-Kettering

AntiCancer Drugs

CDC General

CDC Morbidity

LRF Focus on Lymphoma

Leukaemia and MDS

And thousands more...

I have no idea if any of these are on the Android OS...
