How careful do I need to be re: contact with people with infections?

I'm currently receiving treament as part of the Rialto trial and I know that I need to be careful of people who have infections . However, does anyone know how far should this go?

Our 16mth grandson lives with us. He is due to see his father tomorrow, but he has contacted to say that his niece and nephew have just arrived and one of them has Impetigo. He says (and please note that we can't always rely on him to tell the truth) that the little one has had antibiotics for 48 hours, but that he doesn't think it advisable for our grandson to visit tomorrow. We're fine with that. However, my question is - should we allow Dad contact during the week, given that he himself will have been exposed to the infection and could pass it on to our grandson, who in turn could infect me? I'm at the most vulnerable point in this months treatment cycle but perhaps I'm being ultra cautious? What do you think? Any advice would be appreciated.

Impetigo is contageous.

Impetigo is usually caused by streptococcus (strep) or staphylococcus (staph) bacteria, but it can also be caused by the superbug, Methicillin-resistant staph aureus (MRSA)

that you sure don't need...

I would be very cautious about contact...

Wow - didn't know about the MRSA thing. Thanks for that - very helpful. I will endeavour to make sure that they stay well apart and therefore I have no indirect contact with the impetigo.
