I did It!!!!!!!! (London to Paris cycling for fundraising)

Hi all

London to Paris was awesome. We had such a good time with 4 days of cycling in good weather.

It was the first time Leukaemia and Lymphoma research had organised such an event and it was a massive success. 200 people set of from Greenwich Park on Thursday 6th June at 8.15 and we all arrived in Paris on the 10th . I will never forget Cycling up the Grande Armme and seeing the Arc de Triomphe coming into view with people clapping and cheering as we headed off to the Eiffel Tower.

The number of people who we saw on route with lots of children waving clapping and drivers tooting,! all added to the experience, especially as the traffic was stopped as we Cycled through Paris with our motorcycle escort ala Bradley Wiggins (he won’t be doing it this year)…… but we did.

Thank you all for your support. I have attached a picture

One is with Geoff Thomas, ambassador to LLR,

There are a couple of links and one is LLR version of call me baby is fun to watch. The other gives a brief snippet of each of the four days. I am in day 2 after a bloke with a beard speaks where I can be seen powering up a hill……… well sort of.

Awesome effort - both in fund raising and completing the ride. Glad you had good weather. From the videos it looks like you had great conditions and plenty of fun to fondly look back on when the aches and pains have hopefully faded from memory.

Well done!

Neil

It was one of the best things I have ever done I wanted to keep going and was sad when it ended but next year I have something in mind

Anyway sorry Neil but I hope we beat the Aussies in the first Lions test ;)
