Hi my son 6 years old with biliary atresia operated with kasai procedure and he has terrible itching problem. He wakes up during the night because of the problems please any help!!!

How is his LFT? Bilirubin level?
Ask for meds to help with the itch. The usual are benadryl to help with sleep, Rifampicin which is an antibiotic for TBC but has side effects to help the itch, or urso if LFTs are not in the normal range. Rifampicin works for us.. It takes about 2 weeks to take effect tho
