Side effects of statins

For several years now I have suffered from nose bleeds. I have been checked by gp twice and they said infection but creams did nothing. Lately have been getting worse and I suddenly thought could this be a side effect of any of my medications on checking the atrovastatin the first most common is nose bleeds! I feel silly that I had not thought to check before but I also feel cross that the gp did not consider this either. I will now have to go back and see what they say.. I wondered if anyone else has experienced nose bleeds on statins and what you did about it. Thanks

Thanks I gave up statins a couple of years ago I hadn't associated the stopping of nose bleeds with stopping statins, also rotator cuff and plantar fasciitis have gone too.

Have just checked the URL and there was a mistake, here it is, I have tried it: healthscams.org.uk/statins-... One too many hyphens! It's usually a finger problem!
