I had a look at few of your posts in other group as well.

I am afraid you need to discuss you blood test results and your medication with your GP or your consultant! How about life style change?

What do you mean? Those are fairly good results

Please read this article, there may be a grain of information on it. There are medical people in my circle of friends, when we get together for dinner I take small quantity and also so no to some food! The medical people answer is ,OK,I can eat what I want because I am on medication, I am not sure if it is the correct way to address health.

Yeah, well firstly it's the DM which prints a lot of rubbish, and secondly, I don't like grapefruit anyway, and I'm not really influenced by the press, but I prefer to take the advice of my GP and lipid consultant because everyone is different.

Prior to the statins, my levels were:

Total Cholesterol 5.9mmol, Trig:1.7mmol, HDL 1.3mmol, Fasting Glucose 7.2 mmol. My GP took me off Fenofibrate and put me on a statin because it was causing problems with my kidney function. What is CoQ10?, my last HBA1C was 47 and I am not on medication for diabetes.

What is CoQ10??? I prefer to rely on the advice of my GP and lipid consultant and not to heed newspapers articles as they seem to change their minds from day to day.

I wasn't asking questions! I was making a statement, and the newspaper I refer to was provided by your link.

Bottom line- Blood glucose test and HbA1C, blood cholesterol and blood pressure numbers has to be analysed by HCPs. Any advice and guide lines has to come from doctors or GPs or consultants.

Doctors, consultants do spend a very long time to get qualification and experience.
