Very sad!, Complaints needs to be analysed. Many people have gained out of Healthunlocked.

I am doing a 4-weeks course on heart health eLearning at Reading University, there are 1200 people on this course from all over the world.

Training video, practical video, Q&A and the discussions are excellent.

I was planning to post some of the material like what is stable and unstable Angina and many more!

May be some members may find it offensive as the video clip of practical was to cut open a LAMB HEART bought from the supermarket shelf.!

Part of learning process.

Wow, thank you. Now I have Reading University as an option for free classes and Futurelearn which I heard about from this site. I've just registered for a free course on Exploring Play: The importance of Play in Everyday Life. I'm a retired teacher and a grandma and with APS and a stroke in March--feeling better and want to balance staying healthy with some fun. We don't have a lot of nice free course like this in the US. Thanks again.

Thanks, I am a retired IT engineer and have worked for GE for 17 years, grandfather as well. There are many free courses available, it is a matter of finding time. This four weeks course on Heart Health is helping me to answer some questions on this site.

Are you in England? I love this site and it's been enormously helpful and has made me feel less alone with APS. The have lupus support groups in New York City where I am which I've gone to with an ANA of 1280(and undifferentiated connective tissue Disease) but really don't know anyone else with APS except the wonderful people I've met here. Education and learning as much as possible about what's happening in our bodies is so important for a good quality of life.

Surely we can judge ourselves wether to read a comment or not. I don't read everything but find this forum very supportive and friendly . I can understand abusive posts being censored but surely knowledge should be available for us to make our own decisions and discus with others who maybe can present a different view . I don't know what the deleted comment was about but would like you to tell us what this site is for if not to communicate with each other. Terry

If something is to be stopped whenever there is a complaint (anonymous?) by someone all human activity on the planet would cease!

I hope if there is any complaint on any of my future post, the admin team will contact me first to ask questions to verify before taking any action!

I am happy to wear the green Health unlocked t-shirt.

So just one complaint merits a deletion? Rather over the top isn't it? After all it's only one person's opinion - please don't tell me it's political correctness. As others have said, Mike's posts were always so informative and will be sorely missed.

Hello, you say it was a mistake, yet traci repeatedly states that it was Mikes choice?? which one is it? a mistake or Mikes choice? please confirm as I don't know who is in authority here. Totally misleading Huh!!! x

If it is the case that posters are notified of deletion, can I ask why Mike had to write another post asking for that very information? Perhaps that is why he really closed his account. Opinions on this site are wide and varied as is the information posted and that is what makes it such a helpful and useful site. I have never read an abusive or nasty post from Mike and dislike the idea of any kind of censorship for any reason other than that.

I think Mike should have stuck his ground and argued his points in different posts instead of just resigning from Health Unlocked.

I'm a great follower of Dr Briffa and Dr Malcolm Kendrick, but I do find that even the most moderate comment that opposes their views meets with some derision. Health Unlocked is not like that (with some wobbles), Mike was free to come back with another post and that is democracy.

Mike's comments are not visible to the public, I am sure it is in the IT system and IT specialist can look at them! If possible an administrator can do a copy and past the posts data in here for the people here to decide if at all Mike's posts are so bad the need deleting. My last try. There may be an email address for Mike and IT specialist can send all the comments here to Mike for Mike to come back?

Mike could always set up his own website, seeing as he is so popular.

Well!

Who can check on complaints of a post? Heart UK or KU administrator? Assumptions can lead to ASSUME!
