I really don't think that he was offering us many facts, only insults to people who struggle with their weight.

His views are in stark contrast to the scientists who are now calling for the food industry to reduce the levels of sugar in their processed foods. Cheap food is often very fattening and unhealthy, but is often the only available, affordable food. It is also addictive.

This article is a good reply to Prof Currie's ignorance.

I would not believe anything I read in the Daily Mail. But what evidence do you have about the plate. It's not a diet it's a guideline.
