My right arm gives a reading of 130/80, which I believe is the top end of a normal reading, but my left arm gives a reading of 130/95.. verified by 2 nurses. any idea why the difference?

No, bur apparently not unusual to have different readings. I get wildly different readings only minutes apart. There's a general recommendation to use the same arm each time and under the same conditions, i.e. preferably at rest and relaxed. Not in a sweat after a marathon! Time of day is less important generally but can regular readings throughout the day can yield interesting results. Also of you take several readings in quick succession each one can be higher than the last. Be advised, we're ALL DIFFERENT and there's no one size fits all. I'd use the right arm reading every time. I'm not a medic and if you're really worried, talk to your GP next time you visit. And DO please look at that link. The difference may well be worth investigating.
