Twenty-month-old Indigo has been receiving regular therapy to help with her development since being diagnosed with cerebral palsy as a baby. Her mother Juliette Brassington said the new centre was very welcome for families needing early intervention.
The opening of a $2 million therapy centre at Scullin brings together all the available support services in a state-of-the-art centre. The centre was built solely through corporate and private philanthropy, and is staffed by six specialists providing a range of therapy services.
"We have the depth of experience, knowledge and expertise and we are certainly very ready to welcome those families and stand beside them on their journey with their child".
"Probably our core client will be a person or a family with a child or an adult with cerebral palsy, but we do extend our expertise to other disability types described as significant and complex."
