Having watched 1 series dose make nice change to see those living with Dementia Alzheimerās being treated with dignity respect and playing part in society
Is nice to see being treated like normal members of public AND not judged.
BUT I worry about future and shear numbers of suffers MAINLY exploitation AND as long as participation in such future things events should ALAWYs be voluntary optional.

One of the thoughts I had watching this - what will happen to the people afterwards? They have seen what they can do with help, will they now have to go back to their old lives. My husband had dementia and I tried to get him doing things every day - playing bowls, going to lunch with friends, joining in with things and I found how much better his mind was when it was active, I could certainly tell the difference if we had a day of staying in doing very little. There needs to be more for people with dementia to keep them involved in the community as much as they are able.
I defo agree with everything said but one shoe dose not fit all .. I tried keeping my dad active even become self employed so could take my dad on jobs with me BUT then dadās Alzheimerās Dementia made it impossible to get out of the house š
Thatās with out psychotic episodes GUESS when you have heart condition canāt have lot meds to help with out like that SO is hard for them and family carers.
Hi JeffAjaxSmith, I totally agree with you, and it has so improved their quality of life. It gives pause for thought about how well dementia sufferers could do, if only we had enough resources. As exhaustedwife said in her reply, it is a great pity that this has only been a limited thing for TV, and this group of people is going to have to go back to less fulfilling circumstances when it's all over. An individual can't provide what's needed in the same way, and society as a whole has always had the view that it's OK to park an elder in a chair in the corner and leave them to eke out what's left of their life.
But really fascinating to see what does happen when they become fully involved and engaged in what they are doing.
Defo agree was nice to see them not worrying about there Dementia Alzheimerās and just getting on with it best they could

It's good to see that the people are participating in society.
Is refreshing to see them doing what they want to do HOW they can Alzheimerās Dementia should not be about doom and gloom really AND thatās sad reality for most families carers.
I resently visated a Alzheimerās Dementia ward at hospital AND was horrified horrific experience ANYWAY I told staff mamber just how I felt AND reported ward to fire š„ service for obstructing acess exits.
Think we all have a duty to complain and stick up for there rights if we see something

I remember seeing this as well a while ago and thinking that companies should do more to help their employees in circumstances like this.. with an ageing population it will become more and more common.

So like those are finding who have cf or genetic conditions tested for insurance companies are taking mick with premiumās even if well.
So it looks like itās not just Alzheimerās Dementia suffers need protection ITs those too insurance companies try to exploit via medical genetic conditions.

Defo agree is worry as Care System Hospitalās have not got a clue how to manage the Care needs and so willing to offload suffers in inappropriate places and in some caseās treated like prisoners.
