Welcome back to Feel Good Friday,

Looking at today’s date it’s hard to believe that Christmas is only a month away and that I’ll soon be putting up the tree and writing cards. For me thinking about all the usual rush of preparations we make for the festive season can be both exhilarating and, if I admit it, a bit stressful to say the least. I wonder does everybody basically feel the same as I do.

How has this week been for you in general? For or some of you, we understand it may have been a good week, while for others the week may have proved very difficult, tiring and stressful at times. Whenever you feel like sharing your thoughts and feelings with us please do so. We look forward to hearing from you all.

Good morning MAS_Nurse,

As you say, it's alarming how fast Christmas is approaching, for anyone planning Christmas celebrations. I don't make a big fuss about the whole thing, but if anything I do love this time of year with all the excitement for children, the pretty lights and crowded shops and love to be out among the shoppers, cheering up gloomy November afternoons. Coming home from an outing into the country yesterday, we could almost have been in a tunnel it was so dark outside, and yet every so often the night was punctured by glowing windows and Christmas lights. Somehow the event itself is not half as exciting.

This week took a sad turn for me on Tuesday, when one of my fellow country dancer's mum died suddenly after battling dementia for some years. As always, and despite all the setbacks, it has still been a shock for her, even though her mum has not recognised her for quite a long time now. So I have her very much in my thoughts and know she must be going through a whole range of emotions.

And for anyone else who has been struggling with anything similar this week, I send love and my thoughts are with you all.

Hi MAS_Nurse, I am putting off thinking about Christmas just now as Pete is in hospital. It’s been an horrendous week but there is light at the end of the tunnel.

The doctor has said that Pete is making such good progress, he could be home on Monday. That’s great news but also a little scary as he’s not the man he once was.

I hope things improve in time. Xxxxx

A really nice thing has happened this week. The orange street lamps are being repplaced by leds. . I looked up at the sky one fine night during the week and was amazed to see the sky full of the stars instead of that orange glow we have had for years. LIke seeing old friends again.
