It can be hard to find jobs in certain areas. Where do you live? I assume you've tried all the usual things but how about signing on with an agency and doing temporary work for the moment? You might find a company that you get on well with who will offer you a permanent job.

Good luck

Do you have all the correct paperwork to allow you to work in UK? That is the first thing to check. UK laws are complex on people coming into Britain for work. Perhaps you might be better to try your local College to make sure your educational certificates are transferable to Britain.

Even British born and educated young people are finding work hard to find. Good luck

Janeva Tell people here what kind of work you did in South Africa or what kind of work you would like to do in the U.K. I'm in the U.S. and not familiar with the resources in the U.K.

There is plenty of work in the UK and my advice is to start at a normal job where you can improve as you work your way into British life. You can speak the language & this is a good start. My daughter runs a cafe and has lots of girls like you she finds the fact that they cant drive to get to work the main problem.

Work out how you get to work & home at night & visit establishments in that area also a CV to hand in helps and if the boss is too rushed o talk to you SMILE and ask them to keep the CV and keep you in mind.

Another bit of odd advice is not to put too much information ore photos on Facebook,if you want someone to take you seriously putting snaps of party people will give the impression that you are not reliable. And they will look you up before they contact you.

Good Luck.
