Heart Issues post Ivor Lewis
Now 5 years post surgery and the afib is worse but I also have Braychardia ( very low heart rate) Looks like I will need a
cardiac
ablation
and perhaps a pacemaker. Just wondering if anyone has had similar happen.

I had a
cardiac
ablation
on 16 Jan 2024. It was the worse thing I ever gone through. I felt everything and told the consultant. He said I had a low pain threshold. The nurse in the ward congratulated me for not requiring much medication!

Cardiac Ablation Looks Successful!
I was diagnosed with Paroxysmal Afib in April of 2022. During my annual physical my PCP heard what he thought was a murmur, and called in a consult. After testing the afib was confirmed. I never noticed it, but started monitoring with a smartwatch and began to feel the episodes as they progressed. This

Started Besremi
In 2007 I had a
cardiac
ablation
for AF and had not had an incident for 11 years, so when it started I knew something was really wrong . Blood tests revealed very high hematocrit, etc. I was immediately put on blood thinners and given the PV diagnosis.

Exercise and AF
My consultant has offered me the surgery of
cardiac
ablation
, but I am hesitant to take it. I would like to avoid surgery where possible and the risk (I know it is small) of a stroke from the surgery has pushed me to want to take the medical route instead.

Ablation recovery
My husband had a
cardiac
ablation
10 days ago . On discharge he wasn't given any information other than rest. We don't know what recovery looks like? He is extremely tired after just a little bit of exertion eg he folded up his clothes and tidied his wardrobe yesterday, calmly, slowly.

How long off work after cardiac ablation?
Hello All, I have had my
cardiac
ablation
and my GP has signed me off for 4weeks. I have read it takes 12 weeks for the heart to heal. How long did you have off work? My groin still aches and I feel fatigue easily at the minute.

Feeling low after stopping meds.
I had a
cardiac
ablation
in October 22. After 4 months I came off flec slowly over 5 weeks then stopped metoprolol . It is now 5 weeks off all meds except apixaban. I felt very weak after stopping the beta blocker and am still very lacking in energy.

Periodic episodes of fluctuating tachycardia while in AFib.
Eventually had
cardiac
ablation
. Took amiadorone for 3 months then they pulled me off of it. Managed a full 3 months of AFib free living until October last year. AFib started coming back again. They put me on flecaneid "as needed" with extra metaprolol.
