A new wrinkle in my quest for lung cancer surgery.

No surgery date yet. Cardiologist ordered a stress test because my last one was 5 years ago. Test was yesterday, saw doc today, he said "the test showed a slight anomaly so you need to have an angiogram to make sure there is no blockage". So now I wait for the call to get that scheduled, he said within the next couple of days, but it's an entirely different hospital doing it, so who knows. On top off all this crap, we found out yesterday that my husband has aflutter, his heart rate hasn't dropped below 100 bpm in over a month, so he needs another ablation. Still waiting on that date as well.

Katherine,

It seems as if there is no rest for the weary. So sorry. It must feel like the world is piling on.

Not to belittle everything happening to you and your husband, it is good that these issues are being evaluated and diagnosed. I am not saying that it is good that they are happening, but by evaluating potential risks and diagnosing the problems you are able to protect yourself from other unnecessary harms and deal directly with any issues that might be diagnosed.

Although having these things happen really does suck, it does help protect you and allows your husband to get the treatments that will safe his life.

Believe me I know how lucky we are to have these issues found early. Especially the lung cancer, too many people never find out until it has metastasized making it harder to fight.
