have been very frustrated - have gone onto different sites - a major comment is that you

definately need Alpha Lopaic Acid - have been using that and also Glutamine Powder and

am finding fairly good results. Big thing is that you have to take matters into your own hands

and try different things. The pain is frustrating and reminds you of what people say about

"shingles".

You are correct. Each patient is different. You have to be treated in a different way from any other patient, therefore, you must advocate for yourself and try different methods of treatment. What works for me, may not work for you.

Some months ago after a stressful move, I had a terrible attack of vertigo which lasted for weeks and was especially bad when I lay down. At the time I was taking cymbalta and was feeling poorly, anxious and had a lack of energy. My doctor decided to switch me to effexor and during the transition I first felt tingling in my right hand which had been giving me pain with certain movements. An x-ray showed arthritis. Then the tingling went to my left hand and gradually to my feet. I do not have pain or numbness - just tingling. I went to see a chiropractor and paid a large amount of money for light therapy in a number of sessions. I was also given certain exercises to do at home. I am very disapppointment with this treatment. However the tingling has remained the same and sometimes I feel it goes up my arms and even around my mouth. I have an appointment with a neurologist in Toronto in June, Presently I am in Arizona. What is your opinion and your qualifications? Joann

I am a Neuropathy patient of more than 25 years. I have Toxic Autonomic Neuropathy from 30 years of firefighting. I am in talks all the time with Health Canada and Ontario. We are trying to get talks going with the rest of the Provinces and Territories.

I know personally, a lot of the Pfizer Canada and they are trying hard to find a way to alleviate most if not all of neuropathic pain.

Hi, I am taking , Nucleo CMP + lyrica , is this enough for my neuropathy since 6 months . At my physio centre it seems I made a wrong movement , and now my lower back is very weak, hardly can stand straight and the pain hit my upper legs .

The doctors give me gabapentin, baclofen and carbomazepine which don't help with the chronic pain at all! I've tried lyrica, cymbalta, effexor and one other thing and they made things a lot worse!

Hi,

I have left leg pain after a fall five years ago, I am allergic a pain killer medication. Now I found out no response to turning fork test!!

Any suggestions?

I don't know what they can give you for the pain if you are allergic to pain medication. Has your doctor suggested anything? Mine just suggested to go to PT which I have but I didn't get anything out of it

None. I took Lyrica for several years. It was driving me crazy so I quit.
