I am on
calcium
channel blockers, does this block
calcium
getting to the heart only or the entire body? Is there any point in taking
calcium
supplements? Just wondering..

parathyroid specialists contd
I understand that low
calcium
is a typical symptom of parathyroid being damaged .I am taking
calcium
supplements and alfacalcidol - a form of Vit d enzyme to help with
calcium
absorption but really would like to stop both because of side effects: extremely dry/sore mouth at night .

how do people know that they have
calcium
that's required daily 1,200mgs,I don't eat dairy, I have alpro no sugars, and alpro yoghurt no sugars, you would have to stop in all day counting
calcium
, measuring yoghurt a bit messy wouldn't a
calcium
supplement be easier.

high blood calcium
Hi Guys, Is anyone on Mimpara for high
calcium
in blood. I’m transplanted and had a parathyroidectomy but still high
calcium
. The mimpara makes me very nauseous but it’s the only thing they’ve offered me. Has anyone had extremely itchy skin with high
calcium
. Any input welcome Tina

absorbing calcium and nutrients
it's hard work trying to absorb
calcium
and nutrients because there is that many foods that block each other from being absorbed like phytates and oxalates and other things when eaten together, there is even phytates in alpro milk that I take for
calcium
, I think I need a
calcium
supplement.

Levothyroxine and calcium
I have now seen that I'm not supposed to have
calcium
for at least 4 hours after taking the meds and just wondering what people do in regards to this as I work shifts earliest starting at 7.30am, it is going to be very difficult not to eat breakfast!

things blocking calcium
I was talking to a nurse at the royal osteoporosis society and I asked about phytates and oxalates blocking
calcium
absorption, and she said that they don't block all the
calcium
, anyone say different.

High Calcium score
Hello, I was diagnosed with unstable angina last April, and had CT Angiogram and
Calcium
score scan. Results came back that I had severe blockages in 3 arteries and a
Calcium
score of 525 which put me in the highest percentile for a 69 year old woman. I had my angiogram and angioplasty in Sepember.

Calcium D3 Supplements
Are any of you diagnosed with Osteoporosis taking supplements,
Calcium
, D3, K, etc. even though blood tests show normal range? I have been advised it is not necessary to take supplements if blood tests normal. Too much
Calcium
may increase risk of other health issues.
