Elective c section
Hello, I am over 40 years old with my first IVF pregnancy and I am looking into elective c section options. Do you know at what week it is usually scheduled? The midwife only said before 40 weeks but did not go into the specifics… probably as I’m still in the first trimester. Thank you 🙏🏻

NOT Endometriosis... apparently...
So my surgeon called me to explain my Laparoscopy findings on Monday. She has spoken to the senior consultant Mr Andrew Kent who she said is *the* person for this kind of surgery in this area. Basically she said there was no evidence of Endometriosis, but that my internal organs were RIDDLED with adhesions

Adenomyosis - Bleeding on Decapeptyl
Hello, I am new here and looking for any advice. Since I was 10 and had my first period I have been in excruciating pain every month. After the birth of both my sons via c-section my periods changed and I thought this is amazing. Mild cramping and less bleeding. That didn’t last. When I turned

Rainbow is here
Been on this journey for 5yrs now, some of you may remember me posting on September 2022 that i had a stillbirth at 40weeks🤗.. . So we did another transfer last year end of June , was lucky that it did stick too and the pregnancy journey wasn’t that easy, was full of anxiety knowing no safe zone

Bowel endo and prolapse
Hello I wondered if anyone knows who I go to about this. I have stage 4 endometriosis. It’s impacted my bowel. I have a 5cm mass in my bowel. My last colonoscopy said I have a partial bowel mucosa prolapse. I don’t have any symptoms of prolapse yet. I’m currently 32 weeks pregnant through IVF. I

The end of the road
I can't believe I'm writing this but our ivf journey is over in the most heartbreaking way. Everything was looking good with my lining, ovulation, progesterone over 100 and we got the call yesterday morning that our final embryo had survived the thaw and was looking good. We arrived at the clinic and

Endometrioma but without having endometriosis??
Hi, looking for a little advice . So....bit of a long story (so sorry). I am 41 years old and have had 4 c sections. I have been having much more heavier periods( but always been an issue ) since the birth of my little boy who is 2. So much so I am going very anaemic and totally wiped out each month.

C section vs Lap Recovery
Has anyone had both a c section and lap with excision, cysts removed and bowel shaved? Just wondering how recovery compares with the 2 surgeries. My pain was gone 2 weeks post section and I was out of bed 6 hours after surgery. Something tells me this is going to be worse! Lap scheduled in 4 weeks, dreading

Emotions around baby arrival after long infertility
Hello. We have had a long infertility journey that was a struggle from multiple fronts. We now have an elective c section booked in 2 days time. I am finding myself overwhelmed with emotions. It's like the culmination of a long, hard journey. Does anyone know about a useful podcast or blog to use to help

Wrong diagnosis
Hi all, I’ve recently finally seen the consultant who advised that she doesn’t think I have endometriosis, but instead have IBS. This is due to when I have a “flare up” the pains come in bursts, and then go - I often describe as what I’d think a contraction to feel like. She has told me to follow a

Anyone for elective c section?
Hiya. Just wondering if anyone has opted for an elective c section and the reason behind it? I personally would love to give birth by a vaginal delivery, but being a first timer (and probably because of IVF as well), I just don't expect my body to go into labour on its own.I have therefore opted for

Emma Alice opinions
Hello fellow IVF warriors. Apologies, I know Emma / Alice testing gets posted a lot but I would value any similar experiences. Quick back story - Miscarriage December 2022 (untested embryo, age 41) and 2 egg collections and 2 FET since both with euploid embryos. Didn’t even make it to OTD (upped

After c-section knickers recommendations - please advise? Thank you!
Happy new year! I would really appreciate some recommendations on which knickers to buy after a c-section. Do normal full briefs do the job? Thank you x
