Im suffering from T and other simptoms 6 months now, today I was curios to check what my T sounds like ... I looked through youtube, and found out that my T is arround 14k hz.. my T is wierd .. Im sure like evrey one else here ๐ .
Talking mainly helps me not paying atention to the T during the day.. so I spend a lot of time "forgetting" I have T, wich is great thank the Lord. but when I get into a room, even with fan or aircondetion is On ... I still hear the T loud .. over the aircondetion sound ... sometimen when I wach TV also can hear it hissing and buzzing in my head. Inspite all of that, I often sleep without white noise ..( just the fan or aircondetion .. but still hear or feel the T clearly).. it is hard for me to determind if my T is bad or good... so 14k hz consedered bad or "good"?

Hi there well it seems to me you're some where in the middle or moderate Tinnitus the noise you hear can vary from a hiss to a high frequency which most get including myself Tinnitus is a strange beast at night I normally have a fan on in the winter a app helps me sleep during the day it gets pushed into the back ground by everyday common noise so my brain loses interest in it sometimes it can be hell where it goes completely off key but it's one of those things you have no choice to live with just carry on and do what's good for you I've all aways said don't let the beast beat you personally I think you're doing OK
Thank you romford for your reply, yes you are right, we have no choise, but doing my best to try fegger out what the cause of mine, and maybe try to deal with the main problem...hopfully ๐.. Thank you, best wishes ๐๐
Hi Penny. When you have a hearing test they measure your hearing in hz. Starting at 125hz and going up to 8000hz. The higher the number the higher the pitch / frequency. Hearing loss usually starts at the higher frequencies . I think it's why tinnitus is often a high pitched sound. That's waht I've read anyway. May be wrong ๐
I see , thanks. I donโt have any hearing loss . I thought it was to do with the actual level of tinnitus noise and nothing to do with hearing levels. It can get confusing. ๐ ๐ ๐ hope your ok today.
I'm not entirely sure. Hoping to get some answers from ENT one days OK morning. Just got in from a little walk with Goldie. How are you & your lovely poodles?
Yes , they keep me very occupied . Iโm retired and live at Bexhill on sea which is good for the tinnitus .. do you find your tinnitus gets worse as the day goes on and we get more tired . I cope far better in the mornings . Whatโs your best plan ?
It's the other way round for me Penny. I feel worse in the mornings. T is very loud when I wake up. I feel better & cope more easily as the day goes on. Strange isn't it .. The way it takes everyone differently.
Good morning , I think as well for me I find this time of year stressful , apart from severe tinnitus I have so much pain in my feet and you need water proof footwear for dog walking etc , Iโve tried everything . Family live 95 miles away too. I have found the tinnitus particularly bad this week and stress increases more stress , anyway enough of silly me , wishing you a very happy day. ๐ฉ ๐ฉ. ๐ ๐
Aww. I'm sorry your T has been bad. It can go up & down can't it .. I've had some bad days lately. Spring & summer is much easier for dog walking. Not so easy in autumn & winter. I go down to the local park and stay on the paths if it's really wet or muddy. Hope you have a good day too ๐ถ๐
A small seaside town in Somerset. It's nice living by the sea - as you say. Just sitting on the beach on a wind swept day helps with the T . It's been nice here too ๐
Oh very nice , your on the way to Cornwall . In the West. Iโm a bit further over on the south coast . I donโt know whatโs going on with my head . Itโs been bad today . Full of pressure . I had a lovely walk in the woods with doggies . However I feel the need to rest my head . I do wish doctors had a helpful remedy .
