Good days

Just wanted to post up that I’ve had a good weekend, yeah I’ve still got the stupid noises in my head 24/7 and I upped my meds a week ago but I can honestly say that it’s bothered me less the last few days.

Friday- went to pub with an old freind, drank too much and generally had a great time.

Saturday- hit the decks (quietly) for the first time in months and absolutely loved every second, it just made me feel myself again.

Saturday - afternoon- went to a BBQ and watched the football with more friends (and a few beers).

Sunday - got two 11 week old kittens (I’m a cat person) after loosing my much loved cat in April. They are lovely 😊

I’m by no means out the woods (infact my T has just gone bonkers whilst I type) and I’ve got my second jab this week (dreading) but I can see that’s maybe it’s not all bad days.

Just wanted to share, especially to those really suffering …. I know how that feels and there really is hope, it’s taken me quite a while and a lot of suffering to get here but this weekend the T didn’t rule me, I ruled the T.

X

Hi Allgie.

What a fantastic weekend and congratulations on the big leap forward.

Keep doing the things you love, spend time with your mates and drink beer.

You hit the nail on the head, you rule and run your life not the other way round.

Enjoy the rest of your week, onwards and upwards👍

Thanks Allgie. I had a look again at the post you first made a few weeks ago. So true - you rule the T and the T doesn’t rule you, Congratulations. And congratulations, too, on your kittens sooooo sweet.

Hello,I’m so pleased for you x

What medication are you on xxxx

I’m on 75 mg of Sertraline morning (was 50mg) and 10 mg of amitrptyline, evenings (it knocks me out and I sleep very well on it).

I’ve been on the meds for about 2 months and they’ve helped me control the anxiety and depression , obviously I don’t want to be taking them long-term but I must say I do feel they’ve helped me.

Great post! Hang in there. Can you please update us in a few days about whether or not you feel the vaccinations affected the T?

Anytime I take almost any kind of med my T goes off the chart. So I am very nervous about taking the shots.

Thx

Well done Allgie for not letting T leading your life, but you being totally in charge this weekend!! Like you I’m starting to have better days and this has given me the confidence of booking my second jab. After the 1st I was firmly convinced not to have the second. My T spiked and I’m dreading it is going to be bad again, but I will still do it because it is my decision.

Kittens will make you very happy …all the best

I’m absolutely hanging this morning, full on feaver, sweats, Hot/cold. All my limbs are having a competition to see which can ache the most.

So far T is normal (for me) it’s no worse but I really do feel dreadful this morning.

Oh my world Allgie I wasn’t expecting such a strong reaction on your second one. I had fever and full flu symptoms with the first one and I know how uncomfortable it is. Fingers crossed that your tinnitus stays that way and this reaction is only a 24h thing!! All the best. Let us when you recover fully.

Hi Allgie, you are doing so well, I need a weekend on the Raz, as someone used to say. I have a special friend returning to the YUK soon, but occasionally. Let the hair down. T is not worth it. Get on with life, there's so much good out there.
