Tinnitus and vaccines

There’s been some posting about the effect of vax on tinnitus. There have been reports of increased T after vax.

But, no-one would report a reduction of T to the authorities, would they? I wonder if anyone on this forum has noticed a positive change? By the way, my two doses haven’t made the slightest difference to my T!

Good point rosie! Glad to hear you've had your two doses without any ill effect. I'm still hesitating .. Partly due to T. partly due to other health problems. It's a dilemna. I feel it could go right / wrong either way.

Oh dear doglover . I wonder why you feel that way? If it’s the blood clots - you’re more likely to get one of these from an international flight, they say. I read somewhere- and I can’t find it now - that the risk is about the same as crossing a road several times a day. Of course, you cross the road AND have a vax, that’s an extra risk. And if you have other health issues - would getting Covid put you at a higher risk than someone who does not have these? As time goes on and people relax their precautions there’s the risk of a third wave, they say. Maybe not till the flu seasons starts.

There’s also the fact that, in getting a vax, you are doing your little bit to protect the population as a whole.

But what am I doing droning on about this? The sun is shining and I’ve got gardening to do.

Whatever you decide, I wish you all the best.

I don't know Rosie. Since I got tinnitus .. I feel more anxious and less able to make decisions. I hear what you say. There's no real risk . I would like to do my civic duty too .. so I expect I'll get it in the long run. How's your garden?

Hi dog lover. Me again. Sorry. Wow your message is exactly what I’m like. I kept saying I’m not going for it due to T. I no exactly how you’re feeling. I can’t make decisions and the anxiety and depression is so hard to even think straight. Have you had your letter in for jab yet. I wish I could come with you for support.

Aww. That's so kind of you. I got a text from the NHS several weeks ago. I'm still mulling it over. I know whichever way I go I'll feel anxious.

Hello Happyrosie,Yes I’ve had my first dose.

It’s difficult to say if the vaccine

has had any affect on my T .

I will be having my 2nd dose in

May.

It's a good point, Rosie.

The mechanisms for reporting are weighted towards negative reactions and side effects once a medication or therapy is in use.

Does this say something about human nature, perhaps?
