Vibrating morse code sound?

In addition to the constant ringing/hissing noise in my left ear I sometimes get I vibrating in my ear that is intermittent like morse code. It gets better when a car or plane passes by. Nothing eradicates it as the tv/radio makes it worse and it seems to compete with the noise. The past couple of weeks it’s been unbearable as I can’t concentrate or sleep. Any ideas what is causing this and what I can do? Having the ringing noise is bad enough day and night but at least noise distracts me from this but this vibration is unbearable.

If I put my finger in my ear the vibrating stops! I can’t seem to work out what is causing it online.

I have pulsatile tinnitus in my left ear 24/7 but recently have been also getting this intermittent vibrating noise too. Not very often and it doesnt last for long, but i have no idea what it is. I just assumed it was another tinnitus symptom? Would be interested to know if anyone else can sherd any light on this.

Sometimes it lasts all day then it will disappear for a couple of days. This is how my tinnitus started following contracting COVID (not sure if there is a connection)

I have 3 or 4 different noises. Occasionally I get the Morse code too. But, a bit more like a old Spectrum 48 game loading.

Thanks for the link that brought back some memories 😂. The advice people give me is to play white noise or watch the tv or go for a walk but unfortunately all those things aggravate it even more as the vibrating feeds off noise and silence it seems. Is this the same for you?

I’ve a feeling that referral to an audiologist might be the next step for you?

I saw one a couple of weeks ago. Apparently nothing wrong with my hearing. MRI nothing to see. I’ve been referred to the local tinnitus clinic and I’m now waiting for an appointment.

I get the vibrating sometimes, not for long though, mine is caused by the ear drum having a spasm. It feels like its vibrating rapidly. Look up how to stop ear drum vibrating. Hope this helps, hxx
