I had an ear infection which caused Pulsatile Tinnitus. After a year of scans and investigation, a consultant said I was wonky and he meant my jaw was out of alignment. I saw my dentist and I now have a plate to separate my teeth at night. I also have exercises and a helpful leaflet. The earache has gone away and no noise now for over two months. In addition I had a chronic infection in two of my crowns which is also being sorted. It could be you have a similar problem. Good Luck.

May I ask you which exercises and leaflet you were given?

I keep having earache especially more so in one ear plus tinnitus and loss of balance...

Thanks if you can let me know.

Do you find the exercises helpful?

Best wishes.

That is what I was told initially but the latest consultant did not agree and I can now see what he means. The jaw and ear are very close together. I also had an antibiotic for a UTI which was also for Otitis Media and Dental infections. This would also appear to have helped. Remember you are unique and they do not know everything.

Yes can see you had several things going wrong at same time. Thanks again.

Yes and it is all about jaw alignment. 1. Curl your tongue backwards, so that the tip touches the roof of your mouth towards the back. (this holds your jaw backwards) at the same time.

Place your hand under your chin and press your bottom jaw down on to it.

Keep your teeth just apart.

Keep your lips resting together

Keep this posture up for a minute

Then:

Relax

Stop pressing

Relax your tongue by swallowing

Rest your teeth together for one minute

Do it again:

Press for one minute

Relax for one minute

Five times

Ten minutes at the beginning and at the end of each day is best.

Discomfort should start to feel better after 1-2 weeks.

Its worth a try.
