I’m new to this having tinnitus for 4 weeks. Unfortunately from what I have read so far there is not much anyone can do for sufferers of T

Hopefully as you have had it for 4 weeks if your lucky it might go away otherwise you will learn to cope. Never be anywhere where it is quiet otherwise the sounds seem to be loader. The trick is to distract your brain from the sounds. I always sleep with a radio on. When it is bad I use earphones playing soft music sounds daft to dull the tinnitus so I can listen to the TV.

Loader should be louder.

Thank you for replying , I always hope that it would suddenly stop but as in you case I don’t think it will. I have tried some of the things you suggest but nothing really helps for long. Thanks once again, contact with another suffer does mean I’m not alone.
