I was told by a GP that I have eustachian tube dysfunction that could become tinnitus but the last couple of times I've been back I've been told my ears are dull but do not have anything wrong other than that. I keep receiving a steroid nasal spray but it no longer helps. I feel the noise more when I try to sleep but it stops me from sleeping, I'm sleeping at most 10 hours per week. It feels like the doctors don't care and they lie and say there's nothing they can do. What can I do because I feel so exhausted and I feel like I'm going to have to give everything up as I don't have the energy for work etc

insomnia from ear noise
Hi, I have ETD as well amd often get loud timitus, especially in my right ear, I lie on this side. My T did actually go yesterday for a few hpurs, but returned before bed which was annoying. Try steaming too. Use either Olibus oil or Menthol chrystal s, both easily got feom chemist. Put just 1 chrystal in a bowl and add hot water. Inhale this for up to 5 mins at a time. It really helps with ETD. Vicks sinex ointment is good too, just put it on yr chest as u sleep. Etd is annoying but will eventually go. Hope this helps, Hxx
Hello. I suffer with insomnia from pretty loud tinnitus. The only way I can sleep is with white noise in the background. I also take a low dose of Amitriptyline, that helps keep me asleep when I finally do get to sleep. Maybe ask your GP if that might help.
