I had 2-3 bad colds before I flew at Christmas and since I’ve been back I have had a constant ringing in my ears. Came on the day I landed and hasn’t left since. It’s been 5 weeks now. Saw two GPS and they said it’s fluid behind my eardrum. Saw and ENT specialist and he’s not sure what it is, but could be Glue Ear.
The constant ringing/hissing noise is driving me insane. I’ve never had it before. My dad had tinnitus when I was young and it was terrifying. I’m sacred I have that and it won’t ever go.
Has anyone had a similar problem? Glue ear or ringing after flying? Feeling desperate and need some help. Can’t stop feeling so down and negative with life now, wishing I felt how I did last year.
Thanks
Jen

Hello and a belated welcome to the British Tinnitus Association forum. Do feel free to ask any questions, I hope that you find this a helpful and supportive place to help you manage your tinnitus.
Tinnitus is often associated with congested ears, either from colds, infections or glue ear, and it generally clears up once these have been resolved.
