Is just me

Hi All this is a great site because it makes me feel I’m not on my own and god knows that helps. But every time I’m on my T seems to go up only while I’m writing. Is this just me or am I just getting paranoid. Anyway big day tomorrow going to try hearing aids in the morning then a trip to the hospital. I’ve been putting this off because I’m dreading the sorry there’s nothing we can do words. Cheers guys

All the best on the new hearing aids. They improved my T. As for increased T while on the site. It’s quite possible. My NHS consultant, while recommending sites this, said to be watchful that it doesn’t make things worse as T is a brain issue and reading about T can trigger things. For me, I read and respond in small doses, mostly to help other if I can. Cheers.

Could be a bit of striess caused by having to concentrate on what you are writing. At the beginning of my tinnitus I completely lost the ability to concentrate. Just doing a shopping list turned me into a nervous wreck.

All the best with your appointments today - hope all goes well.

Hi jb, yes, it helped me too when I realised that I wasn't alone - my forum friends have been supportive, even if they don't know it! It is 3 years on, but I would say that my hearing aid is the "prop" that I need to quieten my tinnitus. Hope all goes well for you today and don't despair if your tinnitus doesn't immediately seem less intrusive. It took time for it to work for me.

Hi My T seems to get a bit louder when I#m sat at my PC, perhaps its the way the head is held I dunno. I have an appointment on the 12th. Hope I don't get the 'sorry we can't help' attitude.
