In response your post myself i would be somewhat cautious on any therapy to try any treatment without proved medical evidence it would reduce tinnitus no offence intended but good luck .

Hi tinnitless. Full marks on the work you have done on this. My concern is that a full scale medical trial on acoustic neuro modulation as offered by The Tinnitus Clinic failed to show any benefit over a placebo group. Having said that i do know that if a play a tone close to my tinnitus tone that tinnitus disappears for a few seconds. When i discovered that i was quite hopeful that some sort of acoustic therapy might help but there doesn't seem to be any real evidence that this is the case.

Hi JohnJopp, Yes I agree that was the reason I embarked on this quest. I was working on some synth circuits for an unrelated project when my experience was similar to yours so I started researching the subject in depth. The thing we all seem to have in common is some high frequency deterioration, mine is worse on the right. The first thing I noticed using it was the tinnitus pitch lowered and I found I was adjusting the settings sometimes twice a day for the first few weeks then seem to stabilse to a lower less noticeable pitch. I don't know if I stopped using it if it would return to its previous level but am reluctant to try. The neurological dynamics of what is going on is still at the forefront of research. If I understand correctly therapy clinics set your tones to match and then only re-program on a further visit , also earphones give different neurological experience.

I also have high frequency loss on my left side which is my tinnitus side but i also have a neuroma on that side which I'm guessing is responsible for the hearing loss and my Tinnitus. Is your method tuned to your individual frequency or does it cover a wider range?

Hi JohnJopp, adjustable from 17k to 3k I plugged one ear at a time to get upper limit of perception 15.5k left & 12.5k right. The matching T shifted daily around 11k but also moved from both, to one side or the other at first. Now is around 8k but much less noticeable, tends to be more at night.
