I only voted for two options as I get emails and participate in the forum discussions. I have no local support groups for tinnitus that I am aware of and I do not know of any other sources of help quoted in your options. I badly need more help and I have an appointment with the Audiology Department in my local hospital on 13 June which I will use to gain further advice and assistance.

Thanks. Sorry for delay and if I repeat my suggestions over the years . I would like BTA to fund properly trained and supervised 1-2-1 ' counsellors ' , as there is a gap in NHS services . I know statutory funding should provide this , but they don't and private ' counsellors' can be hit and miss both in where they are located and in their understanding of tinnitus . There is a danger on relying on support groups and lay counsellors with basic training ( great and valued as both of these are ) .

i would also like a little more ' something' for those of us whose tinnitus never eases , never have a ' easier 'day . This is possibly more an approach , or addition to an approach. It can be hard when the reading / listening / talking is ' Do this and it'll get better'.

A better forum interface would be useful. This Health Unlocked one is better than the dreadful AoHL website, but it's still pretty poor. The football forum I frequent is miles better in keeping tabs on popular threads and threads you've been active on.

Hi Ruud1boy - do you know which platform the football forum uses? An advantage to being here is that it is free for us to use, which as a charity is very helpful. We are also able to reach more people because Health Unlocked cover so many conditions.

It's called ProBoards - AFAIK it's a free forum hosting service, but I don't know whether there would be any issue with using it in a quasi-commercial setting.

The Supporters Trust I am involved with use Slack - but alas I have no idea how it works or if it would be useful , as I'm totally untechnological !

Ye I think online management programme Be good especially if people can’t access support if say they work or have other commitment. I’d like to try as although it doesn’t disturb me too much I do get a bit irritated like just recovering from a cold during the middle of it I’d swear an alarm was set off. If could learn strategies for times like this it be useful
