I've been diagnosed with bronchietese last week.

I'm still learning about this new new diagnosis.

Respiratory specialist told me more likely due to RA medication

Have had a persistent productive cough for the last 14 months.

Hope you see a specialist soin

I was referred respiratory consultant in November. Had CT scan end of November was called out of the blue the day saying there was an appointment at 5:55pm.

I think my brother in law who is a respiratory specialist working there may have pushed my referral to an earlier appointment. Possibly put on list for the next available appointment/cancellation.

Hope you are sorted soon.

I think I maybe in a flare my joints are really painful last few days.

Fortunately I have a rheumatology appointment tomorrow so not bothered with GP this time.

Good luck x

I'm sorry about your diagnosis of bronchiectasis. I was recently diagnosed and am now seeing the specialist every few months. Cofdrop has answered your question. Do you mean you have rheumatoid arthritis too? What is the connection between that and bronchiectasis? I had reactive arthritis but just took painkillers for it before I was eventually diagnosed with bronchiectasis. The reactive arthritis went away but came back at Christmas due to food and drink, I think.

Sorry to hear you have Bronchiectasis. Are you wondering what will happen at your consultation? Write any questions you have for your consultant but do them in bullet points as you will get a bit muddled within the timeframe. S/he will probably cover much of the stuff you have on your lest.

Con should refer you to a resp physio to learn all the lung clearance tecniques and you will then have to do them daily at home. They may refer you for a lung function test, cf sweat test (neither are anything to be worried about). Often they will refer you to an immunologist. This might not all happen on your first visit.

Good luck
