Ergh I have been scratching alot, and this has been happening off and on for a couple years now but when I scratch sometimes there is a clear fluid. It annoys the heck out of me as when it drys it sticks to my clothes and my clothes to my skin. What is it and what can I do to make it stop?..

the ooze is blood serum that leaks out of the dilated blood vessels during a skin flare. A good way to treat it is by bathing in an epsom salt bath or dabbing some calamine lotion or dilute epsom salt on the area. In the US they have a very eefective remedy called domeboro, which is used for poison ivy, but you cannot buy it here in the uk.

You can find out more on this website

topicalsteroidwithdrawal.bl...

Although the site is primarily about the symptoms of steroid withdrawal, the information about oozing can apply to any skin condition where the skin is leaching clear fluid.

It is indeed blood serum and is highy irritable Hermione. I resorted to wet wraps when the skin was that broken to dray and patch up the broken skin. Once the skin is broken it can bed subject to infection which is when steriod creams and antibiotics may be required so I recommend treating it quickly.
