Hi...problem started with hard skin on heels then as this was removed the skin came away leaving red, sometimes bleeding flesh. Now area is still red and wet...cannot seem to dry it out. Is there something I can put on wound to dry it out?

Contact your Mum's GP and let them know. It may be something that the health visitor or district nurse teams can deal with but referral will be done by GP. My Dad is 93 and had a weeping leg ulcer and he has it cleaned and dressed via district nurse service. It happens as ageing skin is both drier and thinner so more susceptible to skin lesions that don't heal well or easily. Good luck with getting help.
