Low lymphocytes

Hi not been on this site for years!I have well compensated cirrhosis and portal hypertension...LFTs are good but I have constant low lymphocytes and white cell count

Platelets are under normal but not too bad!

Does anyone that has cirrhosis have low lymphocytes and white cell counts..just curious!

I don't have low WBC but many do.

Mine have been low too. Think it’s called Neutropenia. My Liver Nurses spoke to their Haemotology dept and even though they were low. Sorry can’t remember what they are/were, they said it’s just part and parcel of being diagnosed with cirrhosis. And there was no treatment for me. Obviously if they had dropped further, they may have been able to offer treatment.

I don't know anyone with cirrhosis , and have platelets over 200, usually they go down months before being diagnosed or a couple months after being diagnosed, if no symptoms, this is the first thing that make doctors look further.
