Sadly it is actually against forum rules to post photographs or test results for comment by forum members. It should really be up to your doctor or whoever ordered this test to give you the follow up and interpret the results & I hope there is a follow up appointment for you in the pipeline.

There are places you can look on line though for help in interpreting your fibroscan result but you could end up scaring yourself before your doctor has been able to explain things.

Sorry not to be able to help interpret the result but it wouldn't be appropriate as lay people and it would be against the forum rules.

What was the back ground for you being sent for the test? Your CAP number reflects the degree of fatty change in your liver and the kPa score the amount of fibrosity present i.e. how dense is your liver. Differing liver disease have different score charts as to where that kPa figure lies and what degree of fibrous tissue it reflects from F0 (no fibrosis) to F4 Cirrhosis. The fibroscan also needs to be looked at in conjunction with your recent blood tests because the result can be skewed (falsly high kPa) if you have ongoing liver inflammation which would be showing in your bloods.

We arn't being awkward about not helping you interpret the results (no doubt several of us could hazard an more than educated guess about the BUT it would be wrong of us to do so as we have no idea about your underlying health condition, other tests you've had etc. Your doctor should have a good chat with you as to what the results reflect and what you can do to try and improve them.

Best wishes, hope you have an appointment soon to discuss these results with your doctor. I note from the scan date it was 23rd May. If you haven't heard soon from your doctor regarding the result I would very much chase them up.

Can't comment on your result but it's almost the same as mine.Ask your Dr to explain because they also need to look at blood results and symptoms before saying what stage your at.

I have cirrhosis but never have had any serious illness because if it.

We have removed the photo showing the results today, although the member's account has been de-activated over the weekend. We'll leave the replies up for now, as they're very helpful in explaining why we don't leave such photos up.
