Hi,

Have you tried emailing or phoning your consultants secretary expressing your anxiety about not yet having the result of your MRI? We did that the last time because it's terrifying to not know and his local consultant rang him that night with the all clear. Yesterday, Hubbies consultant telephoned yesterday to give hubby the result of his scan which he had on 23rd April - bit of a mixed result for him.

I’ve contacted them even spoken with manager. She says I have a over phone consultation on the 18th which is a month since MRI. I know I’ve got liver tumours which last mri they sent me a letter saying likely benign and then I had a telephone consultation to arrange follow up mri can’t help but think the worst with it being over phone doesn’t sound good x
Sorry to hear it was mixed Katie. I don't want to assume too much but I hope it's manageable in light of the great job you guys have done stabilising everything so far. Cx
I updated 9 year on post with what was discovered. No cancer but several gallstones lodged in bile duct so needs to go for an ERCP to remove them (risk of blockage, infection and jaundice).
Hope it goes well Katie and those risks don't occur xx
Hi Beth,
With Covid still around most consultations at the moment are still over the phone. I therefore wouldn't take that as indicative of anything at this stage. Its just a standard approach to consultations at the moment.
Oh okay thank you. Last time I got my results by letter and then a telephone consultation around a month after to arrange the next mri. So I was just worried when I chased my results and she explained he’s going to give them over the phone on the 18th and he didn’t do that last time plus it’s being a month so i highly doubt if anything serious I would be left a month to be told xx
