Battle lost with Cirrhosis

I have been on this site for a few years getting support for my husbands alcoholic cirrhosis. Unfortunately this week he lost the fight and passed away at home peacefully this week. God bless you.

nd I thank u very much for that,it meant a lot,and it means a lot. I'm single,,,really no one to talk to. but even haven't had a drink in over two years....had bloods done,my ggt was 700,which was very High. but do also suffer very badly with sciatica ,so GPS put me on High strength diazipam.....which may affect my liver now. I'm now at esld,I had a ultrasound at North staffs. found some some unusual nodules on surface of my liver..thank you Laura...means a lot that I now your listening ...chris

I was due to have another endoscopy in Jan,but heard nothing from North staffs. anyway Laura how r u duck?chris

I am sorry for your loss. It is difficult going through this struggle. My Mom died a little over year from Cirrhosis/Nash. I inherited the same disease, just at a much younger age. May God be with you on this new path you will taking.

Please tell me if this is far too soon or bold. I'm also habe cirrhosis and when told i immediately stopped drinking. Did your late husband do the same? Or contimue drinking?

No, quite the opposite. Although i was given the COVD vaccine today and it wiped me out all day.

Which vaccine did you have? I had the astrazeneca jab on Thursday no side effects at all then Europe decided it causes blood clots !! However don't believe a word of it and looking forward to my 2nd 1 in May 😀👍

Hi no he carried on drinking. Thought he could live forever. Only stopped when he could no longer walk to the shop. By that time he had lost his mind. Very sad. Just make sure your house is in order x
