Brain scan

We have finally received the results of my Husbands brain scan he had on 2nd January. As if having cirrhosis of the liver (non alcoholic) isn’t bad enough, he now has a bleed on the brain. GP initially thought he may have had a stroke because he has been leaning over to the right but now confirms bleed is on left side which affects everything on the right. He fell over today in the bathroom and it took him an hour to get up and he was very weak. Is this nearing the end?

Hi. Terrible news for you and your husband. I didn’t read your initial post, sorry. Firstly...don’t panic. I have cirrhosis and I also had two strokes end of January. Slight tear/bleed, not sure, it’s wonderful how the medical community tell you everything in detail.....not!!😳Bleeding can also be a result of cirrhosis, but it does not in any way mean end stage. Please believe that. I cannot possibly comment further without knowing all your poor hubby’s ongoing difficulties and prognosis at time of his illness being diagnosed.

The most overused sentence on HU...’try not to worry’.

PM me if you want help with diet etc.

Hope the days ahead will get better...stay safe x
