Hi all thought I would check in, hope everyone is as well as can be in these crazy times? Just to let you know despite my bad health (updated a few details on profile) I have now been alcohol free for 6 months today 😀 on Disulfiram as it was prob my last hope. The cravings have pretty much gone but was aware not to replace the sugar in alcohol with junk food and sweets, not easy folks so delighted that in the last 2 months I have lost 28 pound. We can beat this and for anyone struggling with the drink, there is help, you are not alone. I'm more than happy to share any words of wisdom (or not) if anyone wants, please get in touch. Love to all. Paul ❤️

That is fantastic to hear! It doesn’t matter how you got there but you are there, keep on going. Great news on your weight loss also, I hope you are feeling the changes for the better? I wish someone had told me about the sugar thing 😂
Thanks for reply, I didn't know about the sugar either, I used to drink stronger 8% lager, a can contains 5 tsp of it??? Can you imagine a cuppa with 5 teaspoons?
Wow! I drank wine, I haven’t a clue on the sugar but I never used to eat chocolate, it made me sickly. Now I could eat a box without noticing. I don’t but I could very easily 😂
Brilliant to hear some good news, you've done brilliant buddy keep it up, it will get easier longer you go but as I've found out there will be bumps in the road and you have to have some support behind you when them bumps arise, found that out the hard way. Billy big bolloks im not, thought I was, doing it all alone doing well then bamm....just hits you and I had no support network behind me of how to deal with not going back to what destroys you.
Anyways going in deep there lol but keep going Paul you'll be such a better person for it, no good from what I've witnessed has ever come from a can. Take care and all the best mate 👍.

Good advice, it is difficult, sometimes more than others, and your average Joe on the street can't even pretend to know just how hard it is,especially when you think that this can be self inflicted!I dont struggle with being abstinate for the last 19 months, most of the time, but this year WOW.
Huge well done, Paul 👍
Well done Paul 6 months is a great achievement all my thoughts are with you keep at it you will have bumps to ride out and flatten out on your ride but it is so worth it,once again well done 👍👍👍

Thank you for sharing such a supportive and uplifting post. Keep loving that liver!
