Hi eekk,

Have you tried 111 ?

Haha yes they say any bad symptoms stay home good luck and not much they can do.

So if any of you are pondering if to get medical help or not i urge you to do it this very second before uk prime minister gets to his office tomorrow and locks everything down properly.

Get seen as soon as you can

Can you ring your GP in the morning and get their input ?

Cv is in our hospital now and our local surgery has closed suggesting it's very close. However if anyone needs a doc for whatever reason we just phone up and will be advised as to what to do. Can't expect any more than that in these unpresidented circumstances. We have meds which will ease the symptoms of cv if we get it and hubby has plenty of his asthma inhalers and meds for his PMR. Continuing to follow all the advice and won't be going out unless absolutely necessary. We just all need to be sensible going through this trying time..... sing like the Italians ..... stunning 💖

Good advice Laura,

I have a cough, nothing else , my gp taking phone calls only, local hospitals and our local school is now in lockdown,

I have taken it upon myself to isolate , I have my meds , some food supplies ,cats have their food etc.. its quite worrying but not much else can be done other than good hygiene practice etc.. stay safe xxx

Hi

I agree with Alf, you could maybe try your GP in the morning. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Thinking of you. Love and hugs Lynne xxxx

Maybe you can think about delaying the drain? I was drained for ascities on a three weekly basis, sometimes I waited longer. A drain comes with an infection risk, I picked up Peritonitis and spent 17 days in isolation.

Best of luck with everything.

Good afternoon eekk,

I do hope you managed to get the help you needed?

As the forum members have suggested, your GP surgery, you liver doctors or NHS111 should be able to facilitate assessment of ascites and need for paracentesis.

Keep us posted,

Take care,
