I am not sure who remembers Annette, older lady, from London had her transplant around 3 years ago.... She not been about for a while as she wasn't well with a bad back.... She was thrown pain killers after pain killers I tried telling her to speak to her transplant team as gp was fobbing her off... She was diagnosed on Christmas eve with cancer in the spine.... She fought with her all her might but as we know cancer is a bastard!!!

She lost her fight on Monday 😒😒

R.I.P you wonderful lady you will be missed β€οΈπŸ’”πŸ’”πŸ’”

For everyone else please please don't be fobbed off fight for your health especially when you know something isn't right x

That's a shame, she went through the mill, I remember her way back before the transplant when she went through some awful ordeals with endoscopy. She got a few years post which she wasn't guaranteed at one point - still sad when we loose a member.

I knew you would remember her Katie x

And it is so sad πŸ˜” πŸ’” but as you say she said what she needed to say to her loved ones and accepted what was going on... She even arranged to be baptised last weekend I watched online it was moving x

I was around the site about 3 plus yrs ago JoJo.. I definitely remember the name!

As others have said it's hard when an active forum member passes away!

God rest her soul..there have been one or two others along the way that also were on the site around the same time that also passed away sadly.

This site has been a great comfort to a lot of very sick people that at a time of their lives they needed support and advice so well done to the members here that offered that support and also god rest the souls of all of the lovely people that sadly their journey with liver disease ended like this.

We all need that bit of reassurance at times when we go through the ups and downs of liver disease and this forum is a god send to a lot of people who otherwise has nobody to turn to at a time when they need that support .

May you rest in peace dear Annette πŸ’•

Oh Dear Jojo, I do remember Annette from when I joined nearly 4 years ago now.

How sad that she won her battle with liver disease, and then suddenly taken by cancer.....So So sad. At least she is at peace nowπŸ™πŸ™πŸ™

Gp's are a bloody nightmare with their lax prescribing of painkillers. I have tried to educate mine, when he suggests the usual ones, I tell him to read the T's & C's.

I am glad you remember Annette she was lovely and like myself had it pretty rough pre transplant....

I am so lucky to have the best gp's and I know they would never of ignored me if I was in that much pain...

I am just grateful and I know she was that she got another 3 wonderful years with her family and made some more memories and she made peace with her fate, even though I know it will take her loved ones a while to accept x

Good morning jojokarak,

Sincere condolences from us all here at the British Liver Trust.

It sounds like she was a lovely friend - as so many of you are on this forum and I hope you can take comfort knowing you are all here to support each other.

Take Care,

Dear All,

Jojo - I do hope that you are keeping well...

I knew Annette, she had struggled so much with tests and getting support, then we did not hear from her for a while when she actually had her transplant... She was a lovely friend to me and to so many others on here. May she rest in peace.

We have lost so many members over the past few years. I pray for the ones who have left us, ones who have not dropped in for a while and the angels who are still here supporting in their own beautiful way.

May you all be blessed in all you do.

Lots of love,

Pear

Dear All,

Annette was also known as 'Angse'. Annette would message me always and make sure I was doing ok. She was full of love and care. Annette was struggling to understand her care plans and was finding it very stressful to make sense of it all.

May she be at peace now...πŸ™

Yours truly,

Pear
