Hi Joe, no one here can predict the future but as you have cirrhosis of the liver due to Non Alcohol Related Liver Disease you will need to see if there is anything you can do or perhaps change in your lifestyle to reverse the NAFLD and prevent your liver from worsening. There is good advice on NAFLD on the British Liver Trust website at:- britishlivertrust.org.uk/li...

As you have cirrhosis I hope that you are under the care of a liver specialist and are receiving the correct monitoring - 6 monthly blood tests including AFP (Alpha Fetoprotein) and getting an ultrasound scan 6 monthly too.

You need to watch yourself for any signs or symptoms which might indicate that your liver is beginning to struggle and if you see anything you need to get to your doctor or contact your specialist for appointments and tests to be brought forward. Advice regarding cirrhosis and living with liver disease can also be found on the BLT site and I found them a goldmine of information when my hubby was first diagnosed.
