European Liver Patients Association - HE & HEP C

First of all I'd like to send a special thank you Jim (LAJ123) for his excellent work with the Liver Transplant Patient's Consortium.

Jim very kindly sent me some information about the burden of Liver disease in Europe and in particular the case of Hepatic Encephalopathy: elpa.eu/sites/default/files...

Feeling rather intrigued by this association I had a look around their website at: elpa.eu/ here is a wealth of information available on this site, which I can strongly recommend. What I have since learn't is that the British Liver Trust was a founding member of ELPA and has been a supporter for many years now. I for one hope that this collaboration doesn't come to an end after brexit.

One particular article that drew my attention was that about HEP 'C'. Here they have produced a video documentary entitled, "Hep C - From Hell to Hope". Once again, here is a link to the main article: elpa.eu/project/hep-c-hell-...

Some people from other countries, may experience difficulty in viewing this site, and indeed the video. Fortunately, there is a copy on YouTube and this should be available internationally: (youtube.com/watch?v=Mz15DV6...

Once again, many thanks to Jim for the heads up. It's always good to share such information with everyone.

Thanks Trust, the subject is being debated in commons, as I write this.

Let’s hope that the answers are reassuring.

Hi,

Just a note - I'm involved with the Liver Transplant Patient's Consortium but not with ELPA. I sent Richard the link as it is of great interest to him and he is a real champion for those of us who have, had or endure the after effects of hepatic encephalopathy.
