Any one regress their fibrosis based on fibroscan?

I have F2 fibrosis based on fibroscan result with a CAP score of 178. I am thinking off YHK therapy ...It had one testimonial of a patient who reduced his F2 fibrosis to F1 .Is there any alternative to yhk since its costly.I have fibrosis due to fatty liver ...which I cured off recently which reflected in my CAP score

YHK was reportedly beneficial when given to a few rats & beneficial to particpants in a study comprising 8 people probably funded by the people marketing it.

Please do not take anything without the approval of your GP or consultant. You should be extremely cautious when taking something where the ingredients are not subject to strict testing, regulation and approval.

Don't believe that just because something says 'natural' ingredients only. Remember that deadly nightshade and belladonna are also 'natural' - and fatal.

As Edward1952 just said, the 'safety' information is from the company and not from any trusted regulatory body. The sample is tiny and not to be trusted as reliable or trustworthy.

There is no quick fix for liver fibrosis regression. If there was we'd all be on it. Any claim to it is malarkey. Fibrosis regression takes ALOT of time. You aren't going to see it happen in a few weeks to few months. I understand your anxious to see results but it doesnt work that way. Also the lowering of a fibrscan kpa score does not neccesarily mean your fibrosis has actually regressed. It just means your "stiffness" has lowered. The only true test of regression is a biopsy.

Does biopsy and LSM have different interpretation for fibrosis .I mean if I am in F2 fibrosis based on a fibroscan score ..can it be different in biopsy .?

Yes it can. It's not that they are interpreted differently. Its just sometimes one can produce a skewed version of the truth for lack of better word. For example you could have F2 fibrosis as you do but have high inflamattion and that would potentially make your kpa appear higher because the inflamattion is swelling your liver making it more stiff. And that's how a fibroscan measures kpa. Doesnt mean that you have more fibrosis though. The ONLY problem with fibroscan is that they cant tell the person using the machine what is actual fibrosis and what is inflamation. It's the downfall of those machines. Best that can be done is a doctor would have to look at a patients liver enzymes and try to adjust for the inflamation when interpreting the kpa score. In a perfect scenario where there is no inflamation and no other factors making the liver stiff other than the scar tissue itself than a fibroscan and a biopsy should reveal the exact same answer.

I would feel tho that in your case if the fibroscan is wrong it's likely that it overestimated your fibrosis. A biopsy could possibly reveal less fibrosis than what the fibroscan indicates. It can go both ways but fibroscans more often give over estimation and false positives than they do under estimations.

But a doctor would have to be the one to verify the results. That being said your in a totally reversible stage regardless. Just keep doing what your doing. Your diligent and doing the best you can for yourself. That's the best thing Kuda. You'll get there. Just give it a bit more time my friend.

I'm sure if there was any true merit Liver specialists would be handing this out like sweeties? We cost the NHS a small fortune, if it isnt approved by nice forget it! Sugar is natural. Its deemed to be harmless? Carbs and sugars are the greatest cause of liver disease. Only time and a lot of effort will improve your fibrosis. The problem is anyone with any condition is a target for alternative cures! Alcohol related liver disease requires a different dietary approacl Trials are long and have a lot of people involved. I took part in one that was international. 800 of us.That was a blind trial,next followed an open trial. It took over 4 years to get approval. very stringent regulation and done by recognised University hospitals. Save your money.
