I had my TP 2 years ago. I feel pretty good but my LFTS have become raised & there are some signs of fibrosis returning. Apparently it might have a choleostatic basis & Ursodeoxycholic Acid has been mooted as a potential treatment, Does anybody have knowledge of this?
Thanks

Hi dorset123, I have pbc and had a transplant 3 years ago, just over a year ago I had a liver biopsy because of raised lfts and was informed that pbc was starting to affect my new liver, so I was put back on ursodeoxycholic acid, pbc is cholestatic in nature and involves destruction of the bile ducts, ursodeoxycholic acid slows this down. Take care 🌼
I know someone who has had thensame thing happen to them except 4 years after a transplant , yes URSO is commonly used and there is a newer one called Ocailva which will hopefully be able to stop any further inflammation
