What is a "low density enhancement" found in a CT scan of my liver?

Apparently a CT scan has found a "5cm low density enhancement" in my liver and that they want to examine it further via ultrasound. This message has come via the GP surgery and I have no idea what is meant by a "low density enhancement" - can anyone explain for me please!

It is obviously a lesion of some sort, don't go getting stressed at this stage as follow up tests have been arranged. There are all sorts of lumps and bumps that can occur in the liver - many of which are totally benign and just need checking out. At least your doctors are on the case with the follow up scans etc.

I'm not a doctor, but I believe low density usually is fluid filled cyst like and high density is solid tumor like in nature.
