I left for a couple of months but now I am back and was flying under the radar just reading posts.
A lot has happened since my first bleed a year ago on August 8th. I really never thought my condition would decline so quickly, even with good MELD SCORES.
I was bleeding a lot from my esopegal varices, an average of every other month, resulting in emergency TIPS intervention. As of right now it is the best decision I could have made.

Are you sure that's the right decision on had 2 life threatening bleeds and the second one put me in a coma for over a month and it was touch and go whether I was going to make it, they put the tipps in to save my life
Has having TIPS improved the varices? My husband has had two bleeds in 2 weeks and 14 bands in total. Back home for 6 days but so tired and weak. Does this continue?
Yes, so far, I have not had any more bleeds. My hepatologist is very positive that I will not need any more endoscopies. I am monitoring the ammonia and act with meds if needed.
